1st Customer Review : Great 5 string bass for the money
I have played everything from no name copies to high end basses like EBMM Music Man, and this one is a very nice bass for the money. I had a chance to play this bass with a guitarist and drummer last night at a small jam. I have to say I was very impressed with how this bass really cut through the mix, but still had that Pbass thump. The controls are very sensitive, and it took me a few minutes to get the right combo. Pretty much half way on the tone, and 3/4 on the neck pup. Then I would adjust the bridge pup for the right amount of sizzle.
Next will be a live gig, but that won't be until October. So far I'm very impressed.

2nd Customer Review : surprisingly good bass
This is a surprisingly good bass for the money. I'm a guitar play and I don't play bass very much or very well so I figured I'd buy an inexpensive bass just to help with song writing. Once this bass arrived, my immediate reaction was "Wow thing thing is pretty damn good!" But, as I said, I'm not a bass player so I decided to have a two friends who play bass professionally give me their opinion of it. Both were extremely impressed and commented that if I hadn't told them it was a "cheap bass" they would have assumed it was a pro level bass ($1,000+). Actually, if you consider some of the guys who are playing them it is a pro level bass. Kudos to Schecter!
