1st Customer Review : This thing ain't no toy
First off I didn't buy the guitar from Amazon, buy I buy everything else here so I figured I'd do a reveiw here. This is my first 7 string, I've been pounding on 6 strings my whole life, and I'm 46, so for a while now. The first thing that got my attention was the weight of this guitar. You better have some meat on you if your planning on lugging this thing around live cause it is heavy!! But, on the same note, it sounds awesome!!!! The EMG 707's are beastly in this axe, the harmonics and overtones ring out and swell to a full all out scream. It was a bit tough for me to play at first for several reasons, first off my fat sausage fingers won't stretch very far, and this baby has a 26.5 scale, so the frets are spread. The maple board felt a bit sticky to me, but I bought mine used, so I cleaned it up real good, hydrated the board, cleaned the frets, and slapped some roto nickels on it and it started to feel a lot better.
